IMAWA membership, open to all people who paid the annual membership card fee and have the eligibility required for at least one of the IMAWA membership categories as described below.
Addition to the opportunities for Networking, Participation in social activities, Access to facilities and events and programs, there would be many individual benefits that membership of the IMAWA brings. Categories of Member:
(a) Member: Any Iranian Muslim male or female who is Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia, residing in Western Australia, completed the age of seventeen years and accepted the constitution, after applying for the membership, payment of his/her annual subscription and card fee and approval of his/her membership by the association.
(b) VIP Member: Any member of the association who also became a member of an IMAWA committee, executive management team or supreme council.
(c) Associate Member: Any Iranian Muslim male or female who is a temporarily resident of Australia (ie. by student visa or any other short-term visa), residing in Western Australia, completed the age of seventeen years and accepted the constitution, after applying for the membership, payment of his/her annual subscription and card fee and approval of his/her membership by the association.
(d) VIP Associate Member: Any associate member of the association who also became a member of an IMAWA committee, executive management team or supreme council.
(e) Affiliate Member: Any male or female who is “Iranian Muslim residing anywhere outside of Western Australia” or “Non-Iranian Muslim” or “Iranians people of the book”, completed the age of seventeen years and accepted the constitution, after applying for the membership, payment of his/her annual subscription and card fee and approval of his/her membership by the association.
(f) Life Member: In recognition of the contributions of the founders and other valued members of the Association, a Member or VIP Member also shall be recognised as Life Member of the Association, if (a) he or she is a member who participated in establishment of the Association as listed in the application for incorporation of the Association (Form 1), or (b) he or she made a significant contribution to the Association, has been suggested by the Supreme Council, and approved by three-fourths of the Life Members, and approved by the Annual General Meeting.
